We often hear complaints that there isn't a unified pricing standard for industrial animation production, and prices fluctuate greatly. This is because many factors influence the quotation for 3D animation, and even small changes can lead to fluctuations in the final transaction price. Therefore, the best way to avoid being fooled is to fully understand every factor that affects the price, helping both parties reach a mutually agreeable and reasonable quotation smoothly.

Model Factors

The 3D models of equipment or products provided by the client are the foundation for industrial 3D animation production and will therefore affect the final pricing to some extent.

1.Model Completeness

The more complete the equipment or product models provided by the client, the smoother the preliminary preparation and communication between the animation production team and the client's team will be. The production team can quickly get to work while also saving considerable effort that would otherwise be spent on processing incomplete models. Therefore, whether the client can provide models and the completeness of the provided models are key factors influencing 3D animation pricing.

2.Model Complexity

Models of different complexity levels have different production difficulties. More complex models require more exquisite design presentation, and as the production team's workload increases, the quotation will naturally increase.

Production Requirements

Depending on the different application scenarios of the animated videos, the client's team's requirements usually vary. For the production team, the higher the demand for exquisite animation videos and the greater the amount of animation work, the higher the final quotation will be.

Duration Factor

There's a saying in the industry that 3D animation is charged by the second, but this is not absolute. Video duration is just one of the factors influencing the quotation for 3D animation production. Longer videos will naturally increase the price, but the final pricing is generally a result of comprehensive consideration of various factors.

Production Cycle

Industrial animation production involves a process from preliminary preparation to mid-production, followed by repeated revisions in the post-production phase, until final delivery. The longer the cycle, the greater the labor costs incurred, which will ultimately affect the final quotation. Therefore, under a limited budget, simplifying requirements as much as possible, optimizing collaboration with the production team, and reducing the number of revisions are good ways to shorten the production cycle and lower the quotation.

Furthermore, it's worth mentioning that close cooperation and pleasant collaboration between both parties during the production process can also help in negotiating preferential pricing!
